It activates all three estrogen-related receptor isoforms (ERR-alpha, ERR-beta, ERR-gamma), orphan nuclear receptors that regulate mitochondrial biogenesis and oxidative metabolism.
Research demonstrates SLU-PP-332 upregulates genes involved in fatty acid oxidation, oxidative phosphorylation, and mitochondrial biogenesis through enhanced ERR transcriptional activity. Preclinical studies show it increases exercise endurance capacity and shifts muscle fiber composition toward oxidative fibers without training, functioning as an exercise mimetic.
